Step On & Pyongyang

This project had two parts to it; first, I had to develop a masthead and design for the front cover of an alternative travel magazine put out by Timeout, and I also had to do the typesetting and photographic elements for an article on traveling to Pyongyang. The aim of this project was to create a look that was unique and nontraditional.
I wanted to do a cover that was subversive and included elements of contrast, with a theme of old verses new. Similarly, the inside spread includes photographs of the people of Pyongyang, but with image treatments meant to make them pop.
