Alice in Wonderland
handmade / typsetting
This brief specified a handmade element to the design. I’ve always been interested in the illustrations for Alice in Wonderland—which manage to be both classic and surreal—and decided that would be a good theme for the project. I also knew I wanted to build, rather than draw, the project.
After multiple sketches and creating a digital mock-up of the design, I scanned playing cards and modified them digitally into multiple versions and layouts. I printed them out, cut them up, and arranged them in the shape of the digital white rabbit I created, which was then photographed.
